Process

Process

A thoughtful search, not a pile of resumes.

BBN’s process is built to save families time, reduce hiring risk, and keep the search human. The agency handles the business side so the family can focus on fit.

The first conversation

Before BBN searches, the role gets clarified.

A strong placement starts before candidates are introduced. BBN looks at the family’s schedule, location, children, household routines, duties, compensation range, driving needs, privacy expectations, and whether the role is truly a nanny role, family assistant role, newborn care role, or broader household position.

This protects both sides. Families get a clearer search, and candidates get a role they can understand before they interview.

How it works

A calmer hiring path, step by step.

Consultation

BBN listens for the real household need, not just the job title the family thinks they need.

Role design

The schedule, duties, compensation, expectations, and must-haves are shaped into a role candidates can evaluate.

Recruiting

The agency posts, searches, and reaches into its candidate pool for professionals who may fit the family’s situation.

Screening

Experience, references, documentation, background checks, driving records where applicable, and professionalism are reviewed.

Presentation

Families receive candidates who make sense for the role, with context for why each candidate is worth meeting.

Interviews

BBN helps families schedule conversations, ask better questions, and compare candidates without losing momentum.

Trial and offer

Families get support around trial days, compensation, offer timing, and practical hiring details.

Placement support

BBN remains available as the hire settles in and early questions come up.

Screening and TrustLine

TrustLine is important, but it is not the whole hiring decision.

For many California in-home childcare roles, families should understand TrustLine status before work begins. BBN can help families clarify whether a candidate is already registered, a current applicant, or still needs to complete the process.

BBN still looks beyond any single registry or report: identity, references, employment history, role-specific experience, driving needs, communication style, trial fit, and whether the candidate’s actual background matches the household’s real job description.

Does paying the registration fee guarantee a placement?

No. The registration fee opens and supports the search. BBN works to recruit and present strong candidates, but the family ultimately chooses whether to hire.

Who pays the candidate?

The family pays the household professional directly for time worked. BBN is a referral agency and agency fees are separate from caregiver compensation.

What happens if the job changes?

Material changes to schedule, duties, hours, or role expectations can affect the search and replacement terms. BBN should be told as early as possible.

How quickly can this move?

Timing depends on the role, compensation, schedule, location, and candidate market. Clear roles and responsive families move faster.

Ready to start?

Bring the messy details. BBN will help turn them into a search.

You do not need to have the perfect job description before contacting the agency. It is enough to know where the home needs support, when care is needed, and what would make family life feel more manageable.
